Pharmatres Tisana is a herbal infusion medicine for the short-term treatment of occasional constipation.

Pharmatres Tisane is a medicine containing a combination of plant laxatives such as Cassia angustifolia and Ficus, which stimulate intestinal activity, promoting the evacuation of faeces. It is the ideal medicine because of its natural herbal composition, its herbal tea format and its ability to treat occasional constipation.
Pharmatres Tisane infusions are a medicine indicated to treat constipation in adults and adolescents over 12 years old.
The recommended dose of Pharmatres Tisana is 1 sachet per day, administered as an infusion (one cup, 250 ml), preferably before going to bed. The medicine usually takes 6 to 12 hours to produce its laxative action, so a single dose is recommended in the evening, so that the effect takes place in the morning. In general, 2-3 doses will achieve the desired effect. The maximum recommended duration of treatment is 6 days.
Do not take Pharmatres Tisane:
Like all medicines, Pharmatres Tisane may cause side effects, although not everybody suffers from them. Occasionally, stomach pain and spasms, gas, nausea, mucous stools and/or diarrhoea, skin rashes, allergic reactions may occur. A yellow-red-brown discolouration of the urine may occur, although this is of no clinical significance. All these symptoms disappear when treatment is stopped. If you think that any of the side effects you are experiencing are serious or if you notice any side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
Caution should be exercised if you are taking Pharmatres Tisane for constipation and you are taking other medicines such as: cardiotonic glycosides, medicines for arrhythmias, medicines that induce QT prolongation, diuretics, corticoids or liquorice root. Also if you have undiagnosed acute or persistent gastrointestinal complaints or if you have kidney disease or a thyroid disorder.
Pharmatres Tisane contains the following active ingredients in each sachet: - 0.375 g of Cassia angustifolia Vahl. - 0.375 g of fruits of Cassia angustifolia Vahl. - 0.750 g Fucus vesiculosus L. thallus.
If no bowel movement has occurred within 4 days of starting to take Pharmatres Tisane, stop the treatment immediately and consult your doctor or pharmacist. If you need to take laxatives frequently, the cause of the constipation should be investigated, as frequent use of this type of laxatives should be avoided.
