Bad cholesterol has two possible origins:
- The one we get from our diet (exogenous).
- The one produced by our body (endogenous).
In addition, cholesterol can oxidise and accumulate in the arteries.
AQUILEA Cholesterol is a formula based on active plant ingredients that acts on three main fronts:
1. Plant sterols: which lower blood cholesterol by reducing the absorption of exogenous cholesterol.
2. Red yeast rice, a source of Monacolin K, which helps to maintain normal cholesterol levels by helping to synthesise endogenous cholesterol.
Vitamin E helps protect against oxidative damage. Hydroxytyrosol from the olive tree.
High cholesterol is a risk factor in the development of coronary heart disease.
The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 1.5 to 3 grams of sterols.
The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 10mg of Monacolin K from fermented red rice yeast preparations.
